Hmmmm if you live in Fla and someone at your job has been on jury duty since MAY . . . .yikes, I feel bad for them. Hopefully they did what was right but I bet their identities with be leaked!
I know right? They should all be scared.
When they were introduced after the verdict they said their names, so their identities are out.

well i don't know what dancinbarefoot meant by this, but i agree. he said things about drowning and sexual abuse. none of it was proved. of course, they don't need to prove anything, only the prosecution needs to provide evidence, but the defense had zero evidence.

i realize i'm totally in the minority here but... i'm really glad that the jurors actually abided by the instructions and legal standard they were presented with as opposed to letting their emotions and morals guide their decisions.
these are the safeguards we have in place to avoid wrongful convictions. unfortunately it's a double-edged sword. and this is one of those cases.

That's the law. The attorneys are not witnesses, they do not testify, nothing they say is evidence in the case.

We have only heard the parts of the trial that the media has published. We are not the jurors, the witnesses or the lawyers. We are not privvy to the 800 documents and all of the evidence.
I believed she would be acquitted based on what I read and heard in the news. I didn't think the prosecution had a strong enough case even with the lying.
I personally believe that Caylee died accidentally and they all covered it up. They all have to live with themselves and their mental illness. They don't know right from wrong.

Nothing. They were not privy to sites like this, forums about evidence, Nancy Grace....some of the testimony they did not hear (proffer) so they did not have all the info we had all along. They had only what court allowed them to hear.

Can someone please explain to me how someone can flip the bird in court and get 6 days in jail, this girl KILLS HER DAUGHTER and walks I have to step away from the tv, computer, whatever. I have lost all faith in our system. And if people BUY her book, movie, playboy spread etc I will just scream

Oh, really? I didn't hear that. It makes sense. This is why I made that comment about Casey being older or not as attractive... I feel like this jury, they might have felt she made bad decisions but didn't necessarily care because they almost identified with her. this is what most males and any younger girls (without a desire to have kids) I have spoken with felt.

and 6 of them had kids. The jury was picked by both sides and they had to agree on the jury before it went to trial.
The defense team was brilliant.

That's not true. They had access to TV up until a few days ago. At that point it was cut off due to cross promoting of the case on various channels.
I'm sickened and saddened by this. I have watched this unfold for the past 3 years and I cannot fathom how they think someone other than Casey killed Caylee. I have lost all faith in the system. I hope this sociopath gets what she deserves when she gets out of jail.

In the state of Florida if you are convicted of a felony you cannot serve. I think it makes sense. You might hate the prosecution just because you were convicted of a crime. They think you cannot be impartial.

Again.....if you were on the jury and based on the EVIDENCE alone, and not all of OUR media influences, would you have made the same decision? You don't know. NOBODY should serve jury duty and have to fear what may happen. I don't know how it is anywhere else but here in MI you don't get to choose the trial, case, or date you have to report. These, STUPID people as some of you have said, are doing their civic duty and because the prosecution did not do THEIR job they will have to live in fear. How is that fair? It's easy to sit here and say all of this,k but we were not there every single day day in, and day out, no tv, no nothing. You don't have to like the decision, but to insult there, age, past, job, or whatever is very wrong. And for the record they were of mixed ages, and mixed as far as gender and if they had kids or not. Did it ever occure to you juror #7 may have been crying because there IS a stigma to CPS and now she found her not guilty. Not because of the wrong decision, but because she just had no evidence. This is just sick how we are all turning on the jury. I hope to GOD that it's not one of YOUR family members or friends that were on it

right. and they didn't prove anything they said in opening statements. i know that it's not usually their burden but they opened the door. they were not allowed to bring up anything that baez alleged in his closing statements because it was never proven with evidence when the defense presented it's case.

As a lawyer, do you think there was enough evidence for them to have found her guilty for a lesser charge such as manslaughter or child abuse?
I get why they found her not-guilty for 1st degree murder; the evidence was just not there and there was too much doubt, even if you *thought* it was obvious or thought it was common sense that she did it. But, I can't understand how they found her not guilty for manslaughter or child abuse. She didn't report her child missing for 31 days, plus the other things seems to be enough evidence, no?

my husband said all along that she would get off on everything and we would argue about it. he called and basically said "told you so" Had to hang up on him...I am just so angered by this whole thing 
y husband said the exact same thing! he's been making fun of me b/c i have been SO convinced that justice would be served.

I think Casey had the advantage of 31 days of evidence to disappear or decompose...and they had not so common sensical jury
