Casey needs a brother or sister
I posted on NFR about potentially rescuing a silky terrier, but honestly I don't think our home would be right for him We have 2 cats and a Golden retriever. And we both work all day. The research I have done says they like to chase cats, are not good with large breed dogs and will find "entertainment" when they are bored (when mommy and daddy aren't home!) So I think he would be better off in a one dog household or with another small breed. I am going to see if I can help get him into a terrier rescue.
With that said, we really would like to get a second dog, have been considering it for a while. Small to medium size breed, good with cats and kids, likes to sit on my lap and go for walks. Any breed recommendations? I am going to look on petfinder etc but I figured I would get some opinions.
Thanks

For dogs that are good with children and cats, I think it's less about a breed and more about training and sociliazation. If you are looking to adopt, you could go to a shelter like Little Shelter that really knows their animals and ask. If you go the puppy route, you would just have to make sure that you train from the get go. Good luck
