Re: Cast members of MTV's new show 'My Super Sweet 16 Presents: Exiled
Cast Bios
Alex
An heiress to a chateau in Paris, Alex felt like her reputation was on the line when she threw her Super Sweet 16 party. The Michigan native treated her "Winter Wonderland" party as a coming out celebration, saying it was time to show everyone that she had turned from an ugly duckling into a beautiful swan.
While preparing for her My Super Sweet 16 bash, Alex jetted to Paris to look for the perfect dress, but left empty-handed. When she landed back in the states, she couldn't wait to go car shopping. But when her dad took her to a dealership, she pouted because his suggestions weren't the kinds of cars that screamed "heiress." But when she arrived to her party in a fancy carriage, she definitely felt like royalty. When her crush Cameron asked her to dance and she got a brand-new BMW, her transformation was complete. She really was a swan!
It's been almost two years since Alex put her ugly duckling phase behind her. Now she is a high school senior that's active in theater and dance and hopes to join a sorority when she heads to college. But before she can really spread her wings, she's being Exiled to find out that there's more to life than being an heiress-in-training.
Amanda
Two years ago, Florida native Amanda had a Super Sweet 16 party any girl would die for, including a performance by R&B sensation Ciara. Of course, there was tons of drama to go along with the Hawaiian-themed festivities, especially since Amanda acted like a pampered princess the whole time.
Before the big My Super Sweet 16 blowout, Amanda's limo crapped out, so she was forced to show up in a -- gasp! -- regular car. After she made her grand entrance, Amanda and her father got into a huge fight. But once Ciara took the stage and all eyes were on Amanda, the father-daughter duo made up. The grand total for Amanda's Sweet 16 extravaganza? More than $200,000! And her father said he would do it all over again...
Flash forward two years, and not much has changed. Amanda is still a spoiled brat. She graduated from high school last spring but still lives at home. She hasn't been working or going to college. In fact, she spends most of her time shopping and going to the beach. And, yes, dad pays her bills. But all that's about to change. Amanda is being Exiled to where there will be no cell phone service, no plush pillows and no shopping sprees.
Ava
When Ava celebrated her Super Sweet 16, she threw an Arabian Nights bash that she called "a major transition from childhood to adulthood." You might remember her shopping for the perfect dress in Paris, but deciding to get two custom-made closer to home in Los Angeles; or escaping to her dad's house after her mom canceled her credit card; or for ultimately driving away in a Range Rover that her parents told her she would not get.
Now a 19 year-old sophomore in college, Ava is majoring in global studies and has plans to go on to law school after graduation. Ava still gets recognized around L.A. and around the world when she's traveling. In Iran, where My Super Sweet 16 can be seen only via illegal satellite television, Ava is all the rage and she says she is proud to have represented the Iranian community on American television.
At home, she's still driving that "not used" Range Rover she got for her Sweet 16 and running up mom and dad's credit cards. But that's all about to change as she gets Exiled. How will life abroad compare to the boutiques of Beverly Hills?
Bjorn
An outspoken male divo from Connecticut, Bjorn has but one thing on his mind when it came to the ultimate Sweet 16: fashion. For his special day, Bjorn staged a fashion show, which naturally starred himself, along with a hand-picked selection of his hottest friends to join him on the catwalk. And let's not forget the custom-designed jacket he wore on for his red carpet entrance, the one with "Bjorn" written in rhinestones across the back!
These days, Bjorn -- who drove away from his Sweet 16 in a BMW 5- Series -- is a college freshman studying liberal arts close to home. He has hopes to transfer to a school in California, where he wants to study fashion marketing, which is right up his alley.
Fashion is likely the last thing on the minds of the family who will take Bjorn in when he is Exiled. Being well-dressed won't mean much when there are serious life lessons to be learned when he spends his days finding out how hard it is not to find coordinating separates, but doing whatever it takes just to survive.
Chelsi
It's been two years since private-school cheerleader Chelsi celebrated her Super Sweet 16 with a Roman-themed toga party that made her a legend in her small New Hampshire town. There were plenty of freak-outs leading up to her big bash, including one where Chelsi bawled over her boyfriend Matt flirting with one of her friends.
On the night of her My Super Sweet 16 party, Chelsi made her grand entrance on a throne carried by four buff boys, just like a real Roman empress. But in no time, Chelsi had a meltdown when she argued with Matt after dancing with another guy and a bunch of rowdy boys sent her $800 birthday cake crashing to the ground. All was forgiven, though, when Chelsi got her big Sweet 16 present -- a black Mercedes!
Now, Chelsi is a senior in high school and will be going to college in the fall. She wants to be a microbiologist but doesn't want to have to do anything "icky." Although it's been two years since her over-the-top toga party, Chelsi still thinks she should be treated like an empress. Wait till she finds out that she's being Exiled and forced to live like a local in a foreign country!
Marissa
Marissa celebrated her Sweet 16 two years ago, throwing the biggest party that Scottsdale, Ariz., had ever seen. Obsessed with the color pink, she made her dad rent a mansion for her "Pink Fantasy" party. Up until that point, Marissa always got what she wanted, so she bawled her eyes out when she learned there wasn't going to be a superstar performer at her bash.
But the My Super Sweet 16 party pressed on. After turning heads in a dress fit for a princess, Marissa turned into a total diva, changing outfits twice. She pitched a fit when she heard there were party crashers, who immediately got the boot. Then, to her surprise, R&B crooner Frankie J put on a surprise performance! Plus, Marissa got two -- yes, two -- cars!
Two years have passed since Marissa's outrageous Sweet 16 soiree, and she's about to graduate from high school. Actively pursuing a career in music, Marissa will be performing on the 2008 Vans Warped Tour. But her rock star dreams take an unexpected turn when she is Exiled to see how the other half lives.
Meleny
Meleny missed out on having a Super Sweet 16 party, so when she turned 18 two years ago, the beauty queen from Long Island, N.Y., had a one-of-a-kind event fit for Egyptian royalty. She booked a huge New York City club with the famed DJ Skribble and Fatman Scoop ... and plenty of drama.
Meleny wanted to make sure everyone knew she was rich, which meant having a sweet set of wheels. She begged her dad for a $92,000 car that would really show people what she was made of -- lots and lots of money. But when her custom-made gown didn't fit and didn't have as much bling as she had hoped, Meleny went ballistic. Once the dress was fixed, she made her grand entrance like an Egyptian queen. And, as if a new car wasn't a big enough present, she was surprised with a performance by Lucas Prata. She may have missed out on her Super Sweet 16, but turning 18 sure was sweet, too.
Two years later, Meleny is still living with her parents. Even though she's 20 years old, she's never spent a night away from her mom and dad ... until now, that is. She's being Exiled for a big life lesson!
Sierra
Now a high school senior looking happily towards graduation, Sierra became the star of the My Super Sweet 16 by rushing her party by a year and celebrating her 15th birthday in grand style. The daughter of Cee-Lo (aka one-half of alterna-pop/soul duo Gnarls Barkley), Sierra is a demanding diva who thrives on drama. Recall her big bash -- the one with the helicopter entrance and birthday call from her celebrity crush Bow Wow. It's also the one that nearly didn't happen after a bad report card, but was salvaged by some hard work at school and home that got her back on her parents' good side.
In addition to working hard on finishing out school, Sierra has been keeping busy in the family tradition. She has been recording her debut album for her dad Cee-Lo's label, Radiculture Records, while living the life of luxury in Georgia.
But now, Sierra is being Exiled. The question remains: Will Sierra be able to survive a less-than-pampered existence with a family that has never known anything like the life she leads?
