If I remember correctly, you pass thru Castle Rock on the way to/from Denver and Colorado Springs.
As a LI-er I think a commute from Castle Rock to Denver would be manageable...long but if you're from around here it would seem quick.
What kind of businesses are they in? There are a lot of tech jobs in Denver, and even a couple of mutual funds.

I used to live in Denver. I'd be happy to help if she has any questions. They have a nice outlet mall in Castle Rock. That's about all I know about Castle Rock. DH is right, not too far to Denver, but I'm not sure that many Coloradans that live in Castle Rock commute, but you probably could.

My company has an office in Englewood. There's a huge industrial park there. It's about 25 miles from Castle Rock.

Re: Castle Rock,CO anyone been there?
We just drove through Castle Rock. It is a lovely area, I think mostly a commuters town these days. Lots of housing developments going up, for people who work in Denver. It is only about 40 minutes drive from Denver, if that.
Also close to Colorado Springs, which has a ton of things to do -- and Pike's Peak.
I posted pics of my trip to Colorado on the travel board, with pics of Castle Rock if you want to check it out...

I was going to say the same thing (We're in Colorado Springs). Castle Rock isn't too bad of a drive from Denver - about 30 minutes. I'm sure your friend will love it!

I hope she does! I'll miss her though But it's so beautiful I know I won't mind visiting her!
Thanks for those beautiful pics Kara! I was getting nervous looking at all those curvy roads with steep drops and realized it was pike's peak
