Casual Formal? - RIU
We are staying at the Riu in Puerto vallarta in April and the attire for meals says Casual formal. Doesnt that seem like an oxy moron?
Do you think that 'carribean attire' will suffice?
aka: Hawaiian shirt and khaki shorts, or pants with sandals for the men?
And women, sandals with a cute dress or nice skirt??
You dont think my dh needs a tie do you?

That is super confusing.
Maybe your DH should stick with pants instead of shorts at dinner. I dont think a tie would be necessary.

Re: Casual Formal? - RIU
when we stayed at the RIU in Cabo dh usually wore nice pants and a short sleeves dress shirt (hawaiian style)... for women anything goes most of the time lol

I'm pretty sure when we went to Rui Las Americas in the summer, the men were not allowed to wear shorts to dinner unless it was the buffet. Scott usually wore khakis and a nice shirt.
