Cat and strange cough
So, my beautiful Siamese is doing this strange coughing thing where he sticks his tongue straight out and hacks away for about twenty seconds. It sounds and looks awful while he's doing it, but when he's finished there is no hairball and he just goes back to what he was doing before. He seems absolutely fine - eating and drinking normally - still playing and being his feisty self. I've had cats my whole life and I've never seen this before. Sounds strange, but do you think he has asthma? It's been happening every couple of days.

Re: Cat and strange cough
Definitely sounds like asthma. I have 2 cats with asthma that were diagnosed when they were younger. Siamese cats are particularly prone to it. There are inhalers that you can give cats for it. They need to do chext x-rays and a bronch wash to determine.
Let me know if you need more info. Good luck.
