Cat food/kitten food

Have any of you with cats/kittens tried the following foods?

Canned:

AvoDerm for cats and kittens
Natural Balance for cats and kittens
Nutro Natural Choice Kitten

Dry:

Innova Cat & Kitten
Natural Balance for cats and kittens
Nutro Natural Choice for kittens

If you have tried them, did your cats like them and do well on them? I am getting 2 kittens and 1 adult cat mid Sept. I have been buying their food since the kittens were born in my yard (well, the mama cat first, and the kittens when they started weaning.) I tried Wellness first, and the mama cat does not like it. The woman watching them now gave them other food that she likes, but it is not a high quality food. (Friskies, 9lives and fancy feast were all hits.) She asked me to bring Science Diet, and so far it seems they like that, but I have read bad things about science diet. So, I'm looking for a high quality food that suits cats and kittens (since they will probably share) that cats also generally like.

Re: Cat food/kitten food

we feed our cats purina pro health urinary formula so i can't give you any suggestions on those brands, but just an fyi it's healthier for your cats to feed them wet food only to prevent urinary problems. we fed our cats a mixture of both for the past year and a half and one of them already has urinary issues which he is getting surgery for, and the vet said the main reason for these issues is not enough water consumption which vet food will prevent.

Thank you for the info! I'm sorry your kitty is having problems. One of my dogs had urinary/bladder issues in the past and it was tough to get under control. My plan was to feed wet food morning and night, and leave 1 bowl of dry food out during the day for snacking, especially since the kittens are still so young and need to eat frequently. Do you think that sounds ok?
