Tx! I know Baptism is the official name of the sacrament, but see so much "Christening" these days thought maybe I was dating myself.

always baptism...
the christening is actually part of the baptism service when they use the chrism which is a sort of salve w/ a scent (for lack of better word)

We had baptism on the invite and I know that is the official term for it, but whenever we talked about that day and the party, we always referred to it as the christening.

we did baptism. for all the resaons listed above and because DS's name is benjamin. I liked the alliteration!

we did Baptism and referred to it as the Sacrament of Baptism on both DD's invites. DH's Nana approved (she is highly religious)
