Catholic Schools

If you send your child to catholic school in Nassau what school is your child enrolled in and did he/she start at kindergarten? Did you like the kindergarten program? We are considering putting our son for kindergarten in catholic school. The cost of some enrichment programs are more expensive than one school I was told about and the program didn't even include transportation which I would need.

Re: Catholic Schools

My kids started in the Pre-K program at our local parish Catholic school (Nassau) and continued on and are now in 2nd grade and 4th grade. We love the school. The Kindergarten teacher has been teaching at the school for 25 years and she is loved so much!! For the K program, they follow a modified Montessori approach, which means the kids who are ready with the work can explore other things and those who need more assistance are given it. Kindergarten is one of the grades every year with a wait list. The Kindergartners are given every program the upper school is, such as art, gym, Spanish, computers, etc. They are also able to join afterschool clubs such as Chess Nuts, Mad Science, Reading Club, etc.
