My cavalier's hair can get pretty knotty--especially behind his ears and on his longer leg fur. I either get them with a variety of different combs or trim them with scissors when I have to. Right now, he has a huge knot in his tail and he never lets me back there for long enough to get at it--he hates having his tail combed. Any tricks for getting back there?

distract your dog with peanut butter. one person feeds the peanut butter and the other brushes the dog. I swear dogs will sit still for peanut butter. (get the low fat if you have to brush your dog often)

So funny. PB is one thing my dog doesn't like. I thought all dogs liked PB. But distracting him with a treat that he does like is a good idea. Thanks!
