CBEFM peak reading!
Hi everyone, this is actually my first post. But I have been lurking for about 8 months now. Not sure why I never posted before. Anyway - I have been TTC for almost a year now. I went off birth control last april. I never got my period on my own - always provera induced. So after much testing, the only diagnosis is mild PCOS if anything. Basically my DR says that all she needs to do is get me to ovulate. So she prescribed clomid (50mg) and told me to get the CBEFM.....well, I started using the monitor and had a high reading from day 1, but I just figure that's increased hormone levels and is normal for me, but today on CD 16, I got a peak reading!!! Just wanted to share, as I am thrilled that maybe the clomid did the trick in getting me to ovulate! Wish me luck ladies!!

That's great! Good luck. I have been using the monitor and swear by it. It was worth the $$

Ovulation congratulations !...I too have mild PCOS- Not sure if you are seeing a gyn or an RE- but if your are doing timed BD, Clomid sometimes has a tendency to dry CM, so you may want to just ask the Dr. about that unless you are doing IUI...Good Luck !

Re: CBEFM peak reading!
That is great news!!!! Definitely go for a progesterone check though, just to be sure (it should be done exactly a week after you got your peak reading).
The only reason I say this is because I wrote the exact same post last month. I was SO thrilled, because it was my first month on Metformin, and my first EVER peak reading. Someone on the boards warned me that the CBEFM is sometimes inaccurate for women with PCOS.
Unfortunately, she was right--my progesterone was <1--showing that I didn't O after all.
Just wanted to make you aware--but I'm that yours was real!!!!!
