CBEFM Vs. OPK's
Hi-
I have been using the CBEFM for the past two months. I have been using FMU per the instructions that came with it.
However, I have been reading on here (and elsewhere) that FMU is not the best indicator of when you get the surge- and people using OPK"s are using the urine from the middle of the day, etc.
Is there a reason for this? Am I using the monitor correctly?
TIA!

The monitor requires FMU because it doesn't only test LH... it also tracks other hormone levels.

Re: CBEFM Vs. OPK's
you are using the monitor correctly. it works differently than regular OPK's as it tests for more than one thing.
If you havent peaked yet, the first few months can be wacky until it adjusts to your body. Give it time.
I think it took me 2 cycles to get on track with it.

Don't worry it is doing it's job
The first two months I used it I double checked with a digital OPK and got a every time I peaked with the CBEFM.
ETS: The would also be in the morning with FMU.

Re: CBEFM Vs. OPK's
Thank you everyone! I did get peak readings in both months that I used it, and seem to ovulate around the same time each month.
I just wanted to make sure I was doing it the "right" way.
Wishing everyone lots of
