CD3 bloodwork and sono...
I have to go for CD3 bloodwork and sono this week.
I'm mortified at the thought of the sono part.
Is it going to be as bad as I think it is going to be? TMI, but isn't it very messy?

Re: CD3 bloodwork and sono...
My REs office puts a pad down on the table, but there's never anything on it when I get up. It's really not as bad as you think.

Re: CD3 bloodwork and sono...
its not bad at all. if you are under the care of an RE you get used to it really quick. and believe me, if you are able to get used to it, the RE thinks NOTHING of it. it's their job. good luck!

Re: CD3 bloodwork and sono...
Really, don't worry about it
the techs are so used to doing CD3 sono's, so try not to feel nervous about it! They're professionals remember
For the amount of time that you're 'exposed' there's not much that would leak out anyway, and you're on a table with paper on it (if you've got super heavy flow, you can ask them to put a pad down on it)
good luck!

Re: CD3 bloodwork and sono...
it's really harmless. it's not even as embarrassing as an annual exam bc they're not looking anywhere except the sono screen...as opposed to your, ahem, anatomy like a dr. would.

Re: CD3 bloodwork and sono...
It's fine..... you'll be fine
There's a drape over you so the RE doesn't seen anything. I saw you posted about Dr.B- is he the RE you will be seeing for this? I never felt at all uncomfortable getting a sono on CD3 there.
They put a pad down on the table on the CD3 appts so you don't have to worry about getting anything messy .... and you also have a paper thing to drape over you. Dr.B doesn't see a thing!
Good luck!!!
