Cedar Closets- OPINIONS
Has anyone put up cedar in their closets? Was it expensive? and which kind did you use?
I wanted to put it in our closets in our new place...just wanted to get opinions on it first...THANKS EVERYONE

I just ordered these from Lowes and we're picking them up tonight, so I can tell you then what I think of them.
I plan on tacking them inside the coat closet in our mudroom.

I have been to a few houses that had them. Can some explain their benefit? Not sure what exactly the purpose is. TIA!

Cedar is supposed to be a repellant for moths, silver fish and other bugs and it prevents mildew. I think it also keeps you clothes fresher. My sister had one built in her last two homes and used it for storing out of season clothes.

My parents had one in their house many years ago. We used it to store my moms furs and our off season clothes. Ever few years, we would empty it, and sand it down to bring back the smell to the closet
