Cedar Fence cost vs. PVC
Is it around the same pricing point, or more money?

The one we are looking at is around $100 per section at Lowes. I googled it and the price is coming up a little cheaper. I'm going to call around to a few places.

It depends on more than a few things. When we priced it we found that the 'nicer' cedar (more decorations, larger planks, etc..) was more expensive than the 'nicer' PVC. And the wrought iron that we REALLY wanted was even more expensive! *Sigh*

Had the same experience here. I was shocked! We ended up going with PVC. If you need a fence guy - my good friend's uncle did mine and a bunch of friends and his prices are great! Good luck!

Our cedar fence is being installed today and I think it was the same price if not a bit more than comparable PVC (we didn't really go into PVC pricing much - we were only interested in cedar).
