I went to visit it last summer. Compared to others I visited I thought it was just ok. I don't remember exact specifics.
If you can go just a little north (like 4 minutes), Bethpage Co-op nursery school is right off Stewart ave near the train station. I loved it there and its very inexpensive (even if you don't volunteer). The outside looks kinda old, but it's totally fine on the inside.
