call the number and ask about the test. They are temp jobs with flexible hours from what I hear.

Just bumping. They have tests scheduled this week with many times. I scheduled for Sunday in Central Islip. They also have Holtsville tomorrow. I'm not sure what else, but if you are interested, I would call today.

Does anyone know how many hours these census jobs offer? I am on unemployment and I know I can take a temp job like this and then just continue to get benefits after it's done, but I am just not sure if that makes sense since I get $400 a week on unemployment ... thanks!

I don't think the jobs actually start until next year, so chances are you won't be on unemployment then. I would take the test now though so you get on the list.
FYI, the test is free. They don't charge like the county does.

FYI- I called them- they said they're no longer accepting applications and to call back in August b/c they may become available again.
