cereal / solids question
Ped reccomended at DD's 4month visit on 12/15 that we begin cereal and after a week of that, to start introducing other single ingredient foods (vegetables and fruits).
I've been trying to get DD to eat cereal, and though she's not had any bad reactions to it, she's just not big on it - she doesn't sit still, doesn't like the spoon, etc. I can barely get her to eat a tablespoon of it - and we make a big giant mess while we're doing it cause she so wiggly (and teething so her hands go right to her mouth).
So should I keep doing just cereal until she eats it better, or start other things and hope maybe she'll like them better.
Any suggestions? Anyone have similar issues??
TIA!!!

Re: cereal / solids question
I just started DD on rice cereal last Sat., we are going through the same exact thing as you...she's eating it but more ends up on her; she's wiggly and keeps turning her head. I was going to try her on oatmeal starting tomorrow and then move onto fruits. They say the whole purpose of solids is to get them used to the idea of the spoon, swallowing, etc. I wouldn't worry
