Cereal Question
The Ped. recommended introducing Barley a few nights and oatmeal a few nights. Thurs. I gave DS Barley..an hour later he screamed for about 2 and 1/2 hours. Yesterday was oatmeal..Screamed again.
Is it possible he can only adjust to rice?
I know he has to get used to other foods, but, the crying was uncontrollable (sp?)..My heart broke.
We have a wedding tonight, my parents are babysitting and so I gave him rice for breakfast and will do the same for dinner.
Right now he's talking, smiling, and watching me type..I feel like I got my DS back.
Did your ped. have your DC try different cereals? Did you just stick to one?

our ped recommended trying all 3 but we tried rice and it gave her gas....we switched to oatmeal and she was happy and we never tried barley nor did we ever try rice again.
does that help?

Yes, it does help and I thank you.
We aren't 100% sure if it was the cereal, but, I went back to rice this AM and he's happy...Its only 10AM, so, we shall see.
