Cereal/ stage 1 foods
Does cereal replace a bottle feeding?
What is the diffence between stage 1 and stage 2 foods?
Adding: DS just started Rice Cereal last week, he is 5 months

In the beginning, no, it will not replace a bottle feeding, it will supplement it. You will most likely see after a while that it will eventually replace a bottle feeding because that's the purpose of solids in the end, but at this stage, no, it shouldn't.
It took Ava about 2 months for it to replace her bottles, and we noticed that it actually replaced two bottles, however, that wasn't until she was eating solids three times a day.

Stage 2 foods are larger portions and some are mixed varieties as opposed to single ingredients in the stage 1.
