Cervical Length
Does anyone know what their cervical length is? I had mine checked last week and it was 3.6, and today it was 3.0. Just wanted to see what the norm is. I am 30 weeks.

When I went to the doctor on Tuesday that said that on average a cervix should measure 4cm..but I dont know what a cervic should measure at 30weeks...

mine is normally about 3.7 I have it checked weekly and was told thats perfect...
Also keep in mind any slight of hand on the sono machine and the measurements can be off.....

my dr. told me mine at 12 weeks and it was 4 !

can I ask you why they check it weekly? are they watching for it to get shorter? I have to go back next week to check mine.

I have had mine checked several times b/c of a cone biopsy a few years ago. The first few measurements were 4.1 and the last two were 3.4 and 3.6. As long as it measures about 3.0 you are fine (of course it starts getting shorter naturally as the pregnancy progresses).

I was told anything less than 2.5 you're put on bed rest. When I went at 24 weeks I was at 2.4 and I was put on bed rest. Stay off your feet as much as possible and you should be ok.
