change in sleeping pattern - UPDATED

So I know I should not complain because Mikayla is usually a GREAT sleeper but....

She always goes down between 8:00-9:00 and wakes up between 6:30-7:30.....2 nights ago, she went down at 8:30 and woke up at 3am crying.....I fed her and she went back to sleep

Last night, she went down at 8 and woke up at 12:30am crying, dh went and fed her and she went back to sleep until 7:30am

Any ideas as to why all of a sudden she is waking up to eat in the middle of the night?

TIA

UPDATE: I called the doctor and the nurse recommended that we try to give her some cereal with her nighttime feeding so we are going to try this tonight.......Chat Icon Chat Icon they said to start with one ounce of formula and then add the cereal and give that to her before the bottle.....

Re: change in sleeping pattern

Matty's been doing this as well. Some nights he gets up at 3 and others at 5 to eat. It is the only thing that puts him back to sleep. Yesterday I found 2 teeth popping out of his gums.
Could she be teething?

I would guess either teething or growth spurt.

That's about when DD started waking. If it lasts a week or so it's probably a growth spurt. She may be getting ready for solids!

I always think everything is teething, well she's 7 months today and no teeth yet. But it's definitely possibleChat Icon

Re: change in sleeping pattern

Maybe before she goes to sleep give her the last bottle and some cereal. Do you use a pacifier? if so maybe try giving that to her in the night instead of the food.

We don't really use a paci (I am not opposed to it but she does not seem to like them)
