changing eating habits
DS is 3 months and has a cold/ear infection, so has been eating less since he got sick a week ago. The past 2 nights he's waking up at 1 or 2am starving (bc he doesn't eat enough during the day, I think bc he can't breathe). Is this normal for colds? I wonder if it's a 3 mo. growth spurt. He was sleeping through before he got sick and is now taking about 6-8 oz less per day.

Re: changing eating habits
It's probably not a growth spurt. They tend to eat more often during the growth spurts. It's most likely due to the cold. I would call the ped if it lasts longer than you think it should. DC is probably uncomfortable eating being stuffed up.

Re: changing eating habits
Have you tried using saline nose drops just before giving a bottle? That's what the ped. always recommended for us, and it worked pretty well. That might help you get back onto a more regular feeding schedule.
