Changing Food....

so after that article I bought all new food for my cats

they wont touch the wet food- it's all natural- so much better then the crap they were eating before

any tips or tricks on getting them to try it?

I took the dry food away- so this is all the have out

everytime I get up they run into the kitchen- so I know they are hungry

thanks!

Re: Changing Food....

Yeah - definitely transition from the old food to the new. It will upset their stomachs if you just do it all at once.

Good luck!

Re: Changing Food....

well that's the thing- they weren't really eating the other food either

a few bites- but that's it

is it so bad if they only eat dry food? I feed them wellness core- and they like it- they always loved the wellness food

(but not the wet food)

I use to feed my cats Wellness dry (which they loved) before I switched to Innova. They didn't like the Wellness wet either. Try Merrick canned food if you can get it. It is an all natural brand also. My cats love it.

Re: Changing Food....

I have yet to be able to get my cats to switch! Anabelle lost a pound when I tried (and she is only a few pounds), so I am going to wait and try again when she is a little bigger. They are so picky!

The point of my post is ... Good luck!

Re: Changing Food....

they are not eating the new wet food

they like the new dry food- but they have had wellness before

I think I am giving up on wet food - they weren't eating the old wet food

I might try 1 more kind- and then give up

they are eating the wellness core dry food- and they seems really good for them

Re: Changing Food....

ok- I just contacted Petfooddirect.com

they told me to send back the halo food that they hate-(full refund) they are apparently the only cats that don't like it

and they are sending me the merrick food for them to try- I only ordered 4 cans

it looks like the fancy feast shredded fare- which they had been eating- so I hope this works!

Mine eats Wellness after I read stuff about contamination of Nutro

She gets dry food everyday and then twice a week I give the wet food...however she won't eat the kind in the can....the mushy stuff...she eats the food that is like dry but moist in a baggy pouch.
