changing hair color

i used to change my hair weekly when i was in beauty school. i never had any fear. now im super chicken. im dying for red hair, my hair is virgin hair and has been that way for about 3 1/2 years. i really cant afford to go to a salon to have it done i do have the abilities to purchase salon grade hair color (i dont think thats the right words though since i still have my license and can go to the beauty supply store) but i want something temporary incase i hate it. im just realllly worried that i will ruin my hair that i worked so hard to get back to my natural hair Chat Icon i know im being a big baby...

any suggestions on what colors to go for what brand?? i dont even know if i would look good as a red head. any suggestions

this is my hair now

Meg!

Do you want RED hair or do you want the dark hair with a red tint to it? Red is really hard to get out of your hair but if you do a demipermanent it lasts for about 30 shampoos to make sure you like it. I would use a wella demi permanent..here is a chart

Chart

I would do the 5R and try that out. If you need help let me know, I can always go with you to pick one out.

I had my hair dyed red professionally years ago. Its not worth the upkeep in my opinion. It washed out very quickly. I had to spend money on special shampoo that would deposit color. Just an overall hassle for me. I would go more for the reddish brown color it will be easier to maintain...

Re: changing hair color

I know this doesn't help to answer your question but I really like how your natural color looks on you!
