Charcoal grill/smoker BBQ accessories?
DH just bought a charcoal grill/smoker. He already has a really nice set of tongs, scraper, and spatula to go with it but I'd like to get him lots of accessories for father's day. We don't know much about smoking....what accessories should I get to start him off? I'll obviously get a nice apron and heavy gloves but what else? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

We just got a grill and bought a chimney starter which makes lighting the coals really easy (DH didn't want to use lighter fluid)
You could also get a platter, long matches, til foil, and maybe a gift cert to a local butcher or meat supplier. We get some of our specialty stuff at Iavarone Brothers

We got DH a grill for his bday and a friend got him the Grill Daddy cleaner. It has water in it andif you use it when the grill is hot it steams it. DH loves it.

Apron
oven mitts
a grill skillet/basket for shrimp/scallops/veggies

Chimney starter is a must-have. It makes the task of lighting charcoals so much easier and they light up more evenly and yes, no need for lighter fluid!

How about a selection of smoking wood chips to use on the BBQ.
I have been watching Primal Grill, and he always has some kind of fancy woodchips on his grill.

Check out Williams Sonoma, you can get different types of wood chips etc
