cheap family members & shower

anyone else have a large family & they are cheap when it comes to presents ?

I'm the youngest of 25 1st cousins, some of my wedding presents were unbelievable.
They aren't poor, I just dont think they get with the times and are still giving what they gave 20 years ago as a gift.

I'm registering and really trying to keep the price point down on all the items, because I want to get the most I can for my baby.

I know these people aren't spending $50.

It's actually stressing me as I register. I'm afraid I'll have a million onesies, or 1/2 the party will go in on the swing.

Most people love shopping for babies. I'm sure you'll do fine!

I would just register for things that you really want and don't worry about it - they may surprise you. You should be grateful that they'll come and that they'll get you gifts

i know..i find its always those who cant really afford anything that give the most. those who have $$ dont.

but at this point in my life, im grateful for anything im given as a gift.

Eh-try not to stress. You get what you get. I would actually prefer a bunch of them go in on a swing, at least you know you will use it.

I would register for what you think is best for you and the baby- don't worry about how much $$$ family is spending. What's the point in getting a bunch of items that you didn't have your heart set on?

register for what you want and need and see what happens...if you get anything then you're that much closer...i'm sure you will do fine.
