Re: Cheap place in Europe? Any reccs for which part?
My friend has just come back from the Dalmation Coast in Croatia and she said it was AMAZING! Places in Eastern Europe are on the cheaper side and many of them aren't over touristy yet.
But it depends what you want! The exchange rate in the UK is good for you guys at the moment. Do you want beach, city, nightlife, food???

What time of year did you want to go? It's a lot cheaper in February/March.

My gf is from Bosnia and has visited Dubrovnik a few times. I would love to go! Also Turkey or the Greek islands are very reasonable once you're there.

Prague is a bargain once you get there (meaning the flight will prob run you). Turkey also. I agree with anything in Eastern Europe will prob be more afforable--I do not agree with Croatia I looked into going and it was right on par with Italy.

Eastern Europe- Budapest, Krakow, Prague, etc. I have also heard Romania and Turkey are really nice. I've just booked a trip to Dubrovnik and I don't think it is that cheap. I'll see. However, I've heard other parts of Croatia are cheap.
Parts of the former Eastern Germany can be cheap as well. When I was last in Berlin, I found it to be cheaper than other parts of Germany, but Germany as a whole is expensive. Also like racheeee said, the UK is pretty cheap now.
Stay away from Scandinavia

I agree about Eastern Europe and Scandanavia.
How adventurous are you? My absolute favorite part of Europe is the Baltics (Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia). So cheap (like Prague used to be) and so cute and intimate. You aren't going to get huge sites or lots to see/do, but it's fantastic to spend two nights in each city and absorb everything!
