Check in for the week of December 4th
How is everybody doing with the holidays coming? I'm doing okay. Many pregnancy announcements and I'm sure more to come with the holidays so bracing myself.
Oh and all the cute Christmas cards with multiple children in a family are hard. What's new? Updates? My break will hopefully be coming to an end soon.
Next Steps? FET possibly in January.
How are you feeling? Numb to it all. I feel like recently I have lowered my expectations of anything working. I sure hope something does but I'm not going in with any expectations.
Someone I'm close with just told me she is pregnant so that's a little rough because I see her daily. Happy for her but her growing baby bump will be a reminder of my body not getting itself together.
Questions or concerns? Trying to decide what I want to do for FET. I've never had much luck with FET. I'm debating if I should do a medicated or natural FET. Also my RE said I can transfer 2-3 day 3 embryos. I think I'm leaning towards 2 because I've always done 2 even with day 5s but these are day 3s so not sure.
Need to vent? Go for it. Not much right now.

Re: Check in for the week of December 4th
Went in for my water sono today. It showed I have several polyps so I will be having a hysteroscopy on Dec. 18th. They will also do the endometrial scratch while I am put out. She told me it shouldn't delay anything. I will still start Lupron on the 14th and stop my BCP on the 18th. She said I would probably start stims around the 29th.

I've heard good things about the scratch helping. Yay for getting started.

Re: Check in for the week of December 4th
Hi all,
Relatively new to the journey. Been trying for almost 2 years. Finally taking things a step forward and started with first IUI cycle this month. In waiting game now.
But, I've been wanting to ask for some fertility doc recs. We've been at Gold Coast now for the past 6-8 months and I'm at the end of my rope. I cannot get past the insanely poorly run office. Drs Maslow and Palter are great- but I see them so Infrequently that my experience - based on dealing with office staff and nurses - is so terrible that I feel like we need to move elsewhere. I am CONSTANTLY on top of them for everything - files, results, medications, etc. I feel like if I didn't hunt them down for things we'd miss out on important timing. For example, leading up to our IUI they "called in" a prescription (which they didn't) for ovidrel. Had I not followed up with insurance and Gold Coast I wouldn't have received the medication in time. Not confidence inspiring, given that they're in the business of precise timing.
Has anyone else had this experience?! Can anyone recommend a greatly run practice? If this IUI doesn't work we are absolutely switching.
Thanks for any help and good luck to everyone!!!
ETA: one of the great med assts I've dealt with there said one of the nurses left, so they're very short staffed. I'm understanding to a point...but not confident enough to stay there while they try to fill the position.

Welcome. I hope you get a BFP soon. I've been to 3 REs and what I've learned is you really need to be on top of them. The amount of phone calls and emails I send gets crazy. My favorite RE is Dr. Tortoriello at SIRM. That office was run the best out of the ones I've been to. Sadly I have no more insurance and can't afford them.
Copy and paste this on today's check in so it gets bumped up. Gonna post today's check in now.
