Re: Check in for the week of November 13th

Waiting for AF, due to get it next Thursday or Friday, then starting BCP for my first IVF cycle. New dr wants to do an HSG even though I had a FemVue at old clinic b/c he said it isn't as accurate as an HSG. So I'll have that done in a couple of weeks.

My dr said I need to do the HSG at a Zwanger but he said not all do them. Does anyone know mid-Suffolk locations that do HSGs??

I'm really excited to start IVF but terrified of the PIO injections. My DH probably won't be able to give them to me so I have been watching videos of women injecting themselves...I hope I can do it. My MIL suggested having my school nurse do them (I'm a teacher) but I don't know if she is even allowed to.

Anyone else do their own shots? Also, I saw one video of an IVF nurse saying PIO can be in sesame oil or ethyl oleate, which is thinner than the sesame oil so you can use a thinner needle. Anyone have experience with this?

I did them myself after watching YouTube videos also!! Not bad at all & actually I liked it better than having to rely on my DH or one of our Moms to be available. You have control over so little in this process I think this made me feel like I was able to do something for myself

My eye keeps twitching this week. Great.

I am a tiny bit anxious. Today is CD 27. I'm going to test on CD 29 bc I am due to get it bw CD 29-32.
(Is this even good to test "early"?)

Thanks.

Yay to next steps. I go to Zwanger for sonos not sure about other things they do. So my husband gave me all shots for a while. Eventually I was able to give myself shots even PIO. The hardest part about PIO is talking myself into doing it. I usually sit on my bed and inject on my right side since I can stretch that way. Once you do it a few times you will get the hang of it. Any questions just ask.
