Re: Check in for the week of October 2nd
On day 4 of Clomid. I really haven't had any terrible side effects aside from hot flashes and night sweats. Same thing with previous cycle. I'm only on 50 mg.
If IUI is unsuccessful this cycle, I will move onto IVF.
I've decided to make an appt with a different clinic (Dr. Palter at Gold Coast IVF) and will see him in early November. I forgot to ask the receptionist what time his monitoring hours are...does anyone know?
Also, I haven't needed preauth for IUIs but I know I need it for IVF. Do I call my insurance company or does the office handle that? How long does it typically take to get approved? If this cycle doesn't work I'm hoping I can go right to IVF without losing a whole cycle but not sure how it works.
Good luck to everyone this month!!

Good luck with the iui. Hopefully it will work and you won't need to explore ivf. My REs office took care of getting the approval from the insurance company. I think it took a week or two to get approval. I think it is good you are getting a second opinion to cover all bases. For me getting a second opinion was the best thing I did. A few ladies on here have used Dr. Palter or consulted with him so hopefully they chime in.

Check in for the week of October 2nd
Nothing really new with me. I go my first period since the blighted ovum. I'll probably do a FET in a few months.

Started lovenox shots on CD9, my first time ever getting any kind of shot, lol. Husband is doing them for me, I cannot do them just yet.
on CD12, got a "high" fertility result today from the OPK test, and currently BD'ing every other day. I am going to go for a blood test on CD16 to see if I have ovulated or not. Wondering if I should go on CD14 as well. Last month i ovulated on either CD19 or CD20.

Check in for the week of October 2nd
After a year off... finally gearing up for another FET. I have my baseline (cd 5) tomorrow to start bcp. Kinda dreading it this time because I fear the same outcome of the last 2 transfers... mc. I had a lap at the very end of august and had endo removed.
On the positive side, my DH got a job at a public school at the end of august (actually from a post I saw on here!) and so now we have some insurance coverage which definitely makes things less stressful!

Welcome back. Hopefully the break helped.
How many embryos do you have left?
Why does your RE think the transfers didn't work out?
Hopefully having the endo removed helps.
YAY for good insurance!
