Cheese inside Puffed pastry?
Ive made Brie inside Puffed Pastry before and it came out well.
For an Italian-themed cocktail party, do you think Mozzerella inside puffed pastry would work also?
With the Brie I had raspberry preserves in the pastry. What could I add on the Mozerella so its not just a big cheese ball? Spinach? Any ideas? TIA

I have a friend who makes it with spinach, and makes another one with pepperoni. I think with the spinach she adds some fresh garlic.

Re: Cheese inside Puffed pastry?
I make a great recipe using pillsbury grands and either mozerrella or pepperjack cheese.
Cut cheese into cubes Take each pillsbury Grand biscuit and pull them into halves. place one peice of cheese in the center of one biscuit half. Roll into a ball. Then, dip ball in melted butter, then roll in grated parmesean cheese. Place all balls into a greased casserole dish (I actually use a cake pan) and bake at 350 for about 15 or 20 minutes (or until golden brown). Serve warm with pizza sauce for dipping.
These are a HUGE hit everytime I make them. Its fun to use both mozerrella and pepperjack cheese and alternate because no one knows which they're going to get.
