Cheese Platter
I need help putting together a cheese platter. Brie is my absolute favorite so that will def. be included. I always have a lot of Cheddar on hand, so I will include that too. I am already serving in other appetizers/side dishes: mozzarella, blue cheese, and cream cheese so I won't be including those. So what else should I add? What cheeses do you love to see offered when you go somewhere?

Re: Cheese Platter
What does Manchengo taste like? Is is sharp? Stinky like parm or provolone? Mild? Creamy?
I am curious- I heard a lot about it but I am VERY picky with cheese- I can't eat antying that smells like bad feet!

Re: Cheese Platter
Yes, how is Manchengo? I guess with everyone recommending it... I should def. get some for my cheese platter. From the looks of it, it is a harder cheese... is it like Gruyere? It seems similar to Gruyere.

Cheese Platter
Manchego is mild...with a little nuttiness. It's a hard cheese.

I'm very picky with cheese too - hate stinky cheese and soft cheeses. Manchego is delicious. Mild, tasty.

I also highly recommend Lambchopper! A little on the $$ side but another delicious, creamy but not soft, mild cheese. Plus the wheel has a picture of a lamb on a motorcycle lol.

I've turned on so many people to this cheese and everyone comments on how it's a new favorite. I've only been able to find it at Fairway and Whole Foods.
