Chicago tips
I am going to Chicago. We are going to the Bears game on Sunday afternoon, which is the main reason we are going (we have been there a few times for this reason)
But this time we are going for three days. Landing on Friday early afternoon and leaving on Sunday Night. A Nice long adult weekend.
Anyhoo, we are also going to a Blackhawks game on Saturday night (such a great wife I am although I do love the live hockey)
I would just love help on what else to do besides the obvious like Miracle Mile and the Wrigley. Where can I drag DH for me what should we do Fri afternoon. Ideas for dinner on Friday night and lunch on Saturday? And what to do on Saturday?

Re: Chicago tips
Visit Navy Pier (it's like our south street seaport).

Re: Chicago tips
If youre into museums, the field museum is great, and the science museum is pretty cool too!
Last time we went we took a ride on the speed boat down near navy pier- It was so much fun!
Have a stuffed pizza- YUM!
Go near the lake and walk around- the restaurant/bar there has decent food- but it's nice to just sit and have a drink- (not sure if they close for the season though)

Re: Chicago tips
DH lived in Chicago for 2 years while we were dating - it's a great city
Besides the games, I would recommend seeing the John Hancock building - it has a really nice observatory and bar for drinks. It is very nice to do at night. Sears Tower is also in Chicago.
I agree that Navy Pier is also good to check out. There are a lot of boat tours that leave off of Navy Pier - many focus on Chicago's famous architecture.
As for bars, there are tons of bars/restaurants around Rush and Division - which is not far from the Magnificent Mile area. I can't think of any names off the top of my head.
Another fun suggestion for night is to see if you can get tickets to see Second City - it's an improv show where many of SNL castmastes have started.
Have a great time in Chicago and let me know if you have any other questions!

ITA... just what i would have said. also, check out the field Museum... all the major museums are right there.... all near Soldier's Field and Navy Pier.
if you have time to walk around the Bys Town neighborhood and Belmont neighborhoods are just fun to walk around in for eclectic shopping and fun eats. Lincoln Park is also a great neighborhood.. cute zoo there too. these neighborhoods are all on the North side and accessible by the Red Line el-trains.
Also, if you love to shop, you have to do Michigan Ave....their Miracle Mile, but don't forget State Street too and go into Marshall Field's! (like our huge Macy's on 34th Street)

Re: Chicago tips
I live in Chicago! I'm sorry that I just saw this! I have very different, less touristy recommendations where the best shopping and restaurants are. Sorry!
And, its the Magnificent Mile, not Miracle
What did you end up doing?
