Going to be in Chicago for 5 days in July. Staying at the Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile. Can anyone recommend things to do/places to visit that are toddler friendly? DD is going to be almost 2 and we are going with our friends and their 2.5 year old.

I was also told not to worry about car seats at all. DD will be on our laps on the plane, and then we will be taking the train from the airport into the city. I've heard that is the best way, because cars aren't really necessary. Please correct me if I am wrong! If this is true though, it will definitely be nice to have one less thing with us. We plan on bringing our city select stroller since we will be doing a lot of walking.
