Is there a specific weight when you are supposed to take the insert out of the carseat?

The insert is for babies 4-11lbs.

I believe it says not to use past 11 lbs.

It says on the side of the infant seat, I believe its up to 11 pds. We took the bottom part out, but still use the head piece....he is 3 mths and nearly 15 pounds.

Thanks everyone. I thought it was starting to look snug and she is 10 pounds 10 ounces, so I guess its almost time to take it out. Shes growing up so fast!!
