Child favoring mommy
My twin boys are 6 weeks old and my one son will only calm down if he sees me. My husband is having a hard time with this because he feels that he should be able to console him and its frustrating....At 6 weeks can the favor a parent already....My other guy is comforted by either on of us...

Re: Child favoring mommy
At this point, he is probably just more sensitive to your scent/voice and comforted by that from being with you for 10 months. Dh should not take it personally as it will likely change back and forth and they go thru different stages My son is all about mommy until daddy comes along and wants to play w/him.

I had the same problem but one would only calm down for me while the other would only calm down for dh. actually still to this day (we are 18 months) my one boy will only be settled down by me... i guess we each have our own ways of being comforted and they feel its MOM does it best. dont let dh be upset by this one day soon hell be king and all they want is daddy for everything else.. good luck

I agree.
I also think the best way to handle it is to give DH responsibility for that twin so he gets used to him.

Re: Child favoring mommy
My DH felt the same way both times. It changes, and then they don't want mommy at all. DD is 3.5 months old and DH can console her sometimes not always and when he is able to do he has to walking around.
