Children and parents' nudity Q
I was watching the news and they were talking about Britney. Apparently, in the custody battle there is a witness that Britney used drugs in front of her kids and was "naked".
So here are my questions. Her kids are 2 and 1 (I think!!!). Is that illegal to be naked in front of your kids? Is it really a "morale" issue for children at that age? They are VERY young.
I can understand the drug issue but the nudity..
I am curious to know what other people think.

I don't know if its a "law" but I don't see anything wrong with my 1 year old seeing me naked. Maybe if she were a boy I would feel different but I don't think its a big deal.

I don't think that her being naked if she was quickly getting changed in front of them is a big deal. However, walking around naked, skinny dipping with her sons, and being naked with other people, know there's my problem

There is nothing wrong with being naked in front of your kids at that young age. Using drugs is just wrong at any age!

Absolutely nothing wrong with the nudity part. I hope to teach my children to be comfortable with their bodies and to respect the naked body all together.

Nudity for me or you in front of the kids using it as just being naked in a bath tub in the bedroom etc...no problem. BUT being in a drug infested environment in the nude laying their with 2 babies is just unethical. I think its the whole given situation not just the nudity. As a social worker I think anyone that would have seen that type of sitaution it would have been a reportable incident to CPS. Though shes Brittany so I dont know if she gets more attack on her or a free pass.

I walk around nude all the time infront of Julia, its not a big deal to me. DH use to but now that shes getting older he puts on his boxers before he gets out of the bathroom.
Drugs are something that should NEVER be around children at any age!

I think he was just proving that Brit was not of the right mind to take care of children...if she can't even get herself dressed (and I mean clearly she is in front of other people as well including the body guard) then how can she take care of 2 kids?

DH walks around naked all the time  He doesnt when the girls are over, but has no problem with Cailen... and Cailen sometimes is in the bedroom with me when I get dressed... And although the kid NEVER takes his eyes off of me ( ) I have no choice but get naked in front of him!!!

I agree except to add that unless it was a lifestyle choice for nudity or something. While I don't agree with it & it's not my cup of tea, I wouldn't knock someone else for it.
If she's too stoned to get dressed, if she's naked & covorting with people in front of her kids, that would be my issue.

If she continues, her sons are going to have a lot of sleep-over parties at their house when they hit puberty!!!!! (Initiated by their friends, of course....   )
Like mentioned a few times above, I don't have an issue with the nudity, it's the drugs that are the HUGE issue here.

Yes, the drug issue is indeed a problem that would get her to lose custody and I don't feel sorry for her for that.
I was just surprised to see the nudity as a "custody" but like some mentioned maybe it was in combination with drugs. Then I would have a problem also.
