Children as a mirror of humanity

Its amazing to see kids, especially babies. They show us humanity in its "purest" form.

They trust everyone. They are very affectionate. You can see what is instinctual in them (temperment, habits) that are just determined by their DNA. So many of the traits that I thought were nurture, turned out to be nature. Many children are fearless of so many of the things that adults are afraid of. They don't see race/class/religious differences with judgment. They are curious. Some are lazy. Some are adventurous.

You also see how children can be selfish. They say "mine" and many don't like to share. They resort to violence when frustrated. They love to be applauded. They don't know they have done something wrong until they see your reaction. They lack patience and want everything now. They will throw a tantrum if they don't get thier way.
