Children's Place makes me mad
That store is really biased towards boys...I went in yesterday and there was a grand total of about 3 outfits for infant boys and a whole section for the girls. Even the neutral looking stuff looked more girly. It was the same for older kids...one small section for boys and the rest of the store for girls.
Yes, girl clothes are much cuter but there are cute stuff for boys out there.
I have yet to buy something for DS in that store and I think I'm going to boycott it for him and just use it to buy clothes as gifts for the girls I know.
Vent over!

Re: Children's Place makes me mad
I agree, this happens EVERYWHERE. I had the same experience at Kohls a few weeks ago. Literally 2 little racks of boys clothes. Its a nightmare at holiday time trying to find dress clothes for boys. There is always like one pair of slacks, one button down and 2 sweater vests to choose from and like a gazillion adorable dresses!

ITA!! But I think that is the case with most stores. Even the Gap, Old Navy, etc.
There are just so many more options with girls clothing.

Re: Children's Place makes me mad
I have a DD and I absolutely notice that the selection of clothes for her in all the stores is waaaaaay better than for boys. I can go nuts buying her stuff, there are endless options to choose from. When I have to buy gifts for my friends DS's it is SO hard to find anything really cute. I guess stores must feel like boys don't care what they wear..........just like men!!!

Re: Children's Place makes me mad
It's the same everywhere. 3 racks of boy clothes, 15 million racks of girl clothes.
But I will say that the outfits for boys are much better nowadays than they were before.
ETA: wait until you get the Holiday outfits. It's vest, vest ... oh wait, vests again! Or Argyle sweaters.

Re: Children's Place makes me mad
I agree with others that this is true in a lot of stores. I've found Old Navy to be the worst. The ones by me have huge sections of clothes for infant girls. The infant boys section is so small and mostly filled with maternity clothes.

Re: Children's Place makes me mad
I do think most stores carry way more clothes for girls--I had the worst time finding some very basic things for DS last year, like a winter coat, and I would see scores of them for girls. I thought, what, boys don't get cold?
I did find a coat at Old Navy eventually, but I agree there is always a lot more for girls. But a friend of mine complains that it's so hard to find non-pink and purple clothes for little girls.
