Re: China Cabinets
not sure i am understanding your question. are you asking how to put together the plate stands or how to position them on the shelves?
when decorating shelves, follow the "zigzag" method.
Tracing the letter Z, place a large accessory at the upper far left position of the top shelf. Then place another large object on the opposite, or far right position on the next lower shelf. Beneath that shelf, place a dense object or stack of books in the far left position, until you have zigzagged your way down the shelves. Reverse the zigzag pattern on the adjoining or flanking, set of shelves.
Lastly, fill in the Z-shape you have established with alternating stacks of visually dense accessories.

Fortunoff Outlet on zeckendorf in Carle Place.
It was $800 originally and we got it for $500 missing the door knobs Scott

Re: China Cabinets
Here's a few pics of mine, we have 8 place settings displayed on the lower two shelves, on the top we have platters and assorted things. We did not get plate stands, we have a groove cut out in the back on the shelf that enables the plate to stand up, if you know what I mean. The rest of the setting is in front of the plate that is standing up.
ETA: I can open the door to the china cabinet and take a picture if you'd like, it'll show it much better than through the glass doors.

Re: China Cabinets
whatever you choose to do, keep it minimal. i would definetly bring in some color that will compliment your golden walls.
