Chinese Food question!
What ever happenes to Chicken in a Hoisen Sauce? Does anyone remember that dish?
It completely disappeared of the menus of every chinese establishment a few years ago.
I was just talking to my sister about how it used to be our favorite dish and we would order it all the time and now it is gone!
And the worst thing is: i have the bigest craving for it right now! Must be the pregnancy!
I wonder what happened... I want my Chicken in a Hoisen Sauce!

I've had a similar problem finding some dishes I loved as a kid. I was told it was b/c they were Catonese, I think. Those restaurants are harder to find now a days. See if you can find one that specializes in this cuisine and you might be able to find your dish. i was able to find the ones i was looking for this way. HTH.
