Chirstmas lights and stuff in NYC?
When is the city all decorated and lit up for Xmas? I believe the tree lighting ceremony isn't until early December, but we wanted to take the kids into the city if we come up there Thanksgiving weekend? We were hoping all the Xmas decorations were up and lit. Anyone know? We were probably going to go the weekend following Thanksgiving. Thanks!

Well, considering the Macys by me is all decked out for the holidays already, the city will be fully decorated at the time you are coming. Usually its done up before the Thanksgiving Day parade.

Usually all of the windows are decorated by then - the tree lighting at Rockefeller Center is usually the Tues or Weds after Thanksgiving (but, the tree will be up).

The way things are going just give it a few years and you'll be able to see it in all it's glory by Labor Day...
