Chlomid isn't working
So they upped me to 100mg and although I felt terrible from it, I still only got 1 follicle. The RE said this means the chlomid isn't working. Did anyone else ever have this problem?

I never produced anything on 100
250 made me make 2 mature follicles
Also, speak to your RE about femera. It's similar to clomid, and from what I've read, has lesser side effects

I had this problem. I didn't respond quickly to the oral meds (clomid and femara). It would take me a long time to produce 1 mature follicle. I took clomid or femara 3 times per cycle (my cycle was like 60 days). I went from 50mg to 200mg with the same result.
The cycle they switched me to a femara/follistim (injectable med) combo I produced 2 mature follicles in what would be a "normal" cycle 13 or 14 days.
I just so happen to get my BFP with that cycle.

I would also ask about femara because the more you take clomid the more your uterus lining is likely to decrease.

250 finally worked for me but it varied by cycle...one cycle I would make 1, the next 5....so it really wasn't a guarantee

Just because you have 1 follie doesn't mean the clomid isn't working. Clomid is supposed to increase your hormones so that you ovulate. 1 follie actually means it is working, it just isn't producing multiple follies.
I had to use injectables to get multiple follies.

They told me Chlomid wasn't working for me either when I had only 1 follicle. Told me that they'd double my dose the next cycle.
There was no next cycle, I got pregnant with DD from that one follie.

Here's hoping that's the case. He said if not he's switching me off chlomid onto something else next cycle. Praying there is no next cycle because insurance stops after this one.
