Chocolate Desserts? - Updated with what I made

I need a dessert to bring to friend's house tomorrow. Must be chocolate and not much more. no nuts, no fruit, etc. He is PICKY. I made double chocolate cookies with cherries for christmas and he wouldnt eat them...fruit....made knock you naked brownies too....had nuts....it is now a vendetta!Chat Icon

UPDATE:
I played it safe....Hershey's chocolate cake and made Ina's Chocolate ganache (minus the espresso powder). Made the cake gooey and chocolately and apparently fit the bill!

I will say that I was going to decorate the cake with some strawberries or cherries to make it look pretty, but I decided to just leave it alone. When we sat down for dessert, my friend's DH said, "You know what I hate? When people put fruit on cakes...the juice drips into the chocolate and ruins it." I kept my damn mouth shutChat Icon

Re: Chocolate Desserts?

Is coconut out?

You can make chocolate coconut pie. It is just coconut flakes, butter, heavy cream and chocolate squares.

Re: Chocolate Desserts?

My favorite and a really big crowd pleaser are the Oreo balls.

The oreo balls with the cream cheese are awesome. Also, I make a chocolate cream pie that is rich and delicious! I simply use a premade graham cracker crust and make the filling in the recipe. I also top with homemade whipped cream. Delish!

Ugh lol! I'd def recommend the cream pie then. Just chocolate deliciousness. And if he has a problem with crust lol just put it in glasses like chocolate pudding. Or what about the chocolate cake on the Hershey cocoa canister. Replace the water with strong coffee. Great cake. Top with fave frosting.

These mocha cookies are amazing! They have a little espresso powder but you don't taste it, just very intense, gooey, chocolate flavor. If you try them just be sure to use parchment paper bc they stick like crazy otherwise.

My Oreo ball recipe I use doesn't have cream cheese. They are soooooo good. It's only choc pudding mix, milk, crushed Oreos and you dunk them in melted choc.

Re: Chocolate Desserts?

This will sound strange, but people ask me to make brownies all the time....and they are from a box.

The trick is to make a full sized box according to its directions....but bake them in an 8x8 or 9x9 square pan instead of a full pan (13x9). Bake them at 325 for 45 minutes and they are DELICIOUS....really thick and fudgy. You can top them with chocolate chips before you bake them too if you want.

No one will know they are from a box, Trust me.

THESE! Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

External Image

They're amazing...very chocolatey...more brownie-like than cookie-like

Make sure you don't over bake them...they should be nice and soft

I usually do an 8x8 pan but I will try the 325 since I am making brownies today. I am also adding chopped peanut butter cups. Thanks for this tip!

this dark chocolate tart with gingersnap crust - http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2008/11/dark-chocolate-tart-with-gingersnap-crust/

if he will hate the ginger you can leave it out and use a nilla wafer crust.

it's rich deep chocolate.
