I'm surprised so many people care, when many here on LIF have admitted they still listen to him, as they believe his behavior has nothing to do with his music. Doesn't it send a mixed message then if they are unhappy that Rihanna does a song with him?

It's a little different to me. But I get what you're saying. But still, it's one thing to let him perform after he's paid his debts but by Rihanna performing with him it kinda sends a message that it's okay that he beat her, KWIM? I don't know if I really agree with that, but I think that's where everyone else is coming from.
IMO, it's a sad statement of her self worth that she would associate with him in any way.

I personally don't see the big deal. They are both adults and if she wants to forgive him and work with him again, then that is her business. People don't have to buy the music, but I don't see why people are infuriated by it if it's her choice to work with him again.
There are so many people in this world who are given second chances. I guarantee you there are men who have hit women who go on and marry someone else without repeating the behavior again. There are people who go to jail for crimes, serve their time and come out to be productive members of the community.
I think it suck$ that he did that to her. I don't believe she was completely innocent in the whole thing. I can't be mad at her for doing what she wants. If she isn't mad at him, and she was the victim, then why should anyone else be mad on her behalf? I'd be willing to bet she wouldn't want that.

The irony in this is that whenever his name even comes up on here people are SO MAD FOR HER and hate him (which I get) but clearly, she is over it..or so it seems. I think it sends a poor message on her behalf but at least all she's doing is recording a song with him. Think of all the poor women who actually stay with/get back with men who abuse them every single day.
