CHRIS BROWN: “OF COURSE I REMEMBER” BEATING RIHANNA

Chris Brown has changed his mind.

The troubling R&B star says the clip of his interview on Larry King Live released by CNN is out of context and incorrectly suggests that he does not remember thrashing Rihanna. (You can watch it HERE.)

In a statement released on Monday (August 31), Chris says that he clearly recalls what happened and is ashamed of it and wished it never happened.

“I want to try and set things straight,” he says. “That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one-hour interview during which that same question was asked something like four or five times — and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said.

“The first four times – or however many times it was – I gave the same answer, which was that I didn’t think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn’t fair to Rihanna.

“The fifth time – or whatever it was – I just misspoke. I was asked: ‘Do you remember doing it?’ and I said: ‘No.’

“Of course I remember what happened. As I have said several times previously, I am ashamed of and sorry for what happened that night and I wish I could relive that moment and change things, but I can’t.”

Chris added that he would never claim to have forgotten the assault or spend time defending his behaviour: “I feel like there’s no need to make any excuses. At all.”

The full interview is set to air on CNN on September 3.

Yeah, on CNN he said he doesn't remember. On People he says he does. Whichever excuse is better for his image.

He also repeatedly says he never did something like that before... what about the other times he got physical with Rihanna? Every time I see him, I get angry.

I think what Chris Brown did was terrible, horrible and there is no excuse for it.

I just wonder why nobody is paying more attention to the fact that during their first fight, Rhianna was the one who hit him first. I think they both have issues, personally.

he's just pathetic. Call me old fashioned but I dont believe a man EVER has the right to raise his hand to a woman.
