Christening & Godparent question
How soon after the birth of the baby should you have the christening done?
When did you ask the Godparents to be the "Godpartent"?

Re: Christening & Godparent question
From what I know its about 3-4 months after the baby is born. As far as the godparents, I guess its when ever you feel its the right time. Everyone knows who the godmother is, we haven't told the godfater yet. We may wait to after the baby is born

Re: Christening & Godparent question
Growing up in the strict Irish catholic family that I'm from we do it about a month or 2. though I've known some people to wait. My friends niece walked up to the baptismal font.

Re: Christening & Godparent question
I don't know if there is a "right" answer...but we asked the Godparents right before he was born, and had the christening when he was 3 months old.
