Christening - Did you invite everyone to the church?
Did you invite everyone to the church? Or only close family? And...did you do 2 seperate invites?
Not sure what to do!

Yes, I did. Not everyone came, of course, but they were definitely all invited (it IS the most important part of the day, afterall  ).

yes i put the church info on the invite too. Only 2 people showed that were not "planned" to be there and we had about 70 people invited...so it worked out for us fine.

I sent out one invite for the church and dinner. I would say that almost everyone came to the church. But - we only invited family so that could be why also.

Yes, and suprisingly everyone came. It was nice having such a big crowd for him so I'd say do it.
I actually just put the Christening time on the invite and "Reception to Follow" because I didnt want people going straight to the restaurant

We invited everyone to the church and I was shocked to see how many people showed up. It was amazing. I was so happy, because, after all the ceremony is what it's all about. We had maybe 20 people that couldn't make the church and about 50 or more that could. It was great.

Yes. We only had close family, but I would have invited everyone if we did have a big party too.

yes, I put the time of the church and then put Lunch to follow on the invitation. its nice to have a big crowd.

Yes. I actually made it very clear in the invite that it was a private ceremony & that everyone was encouraged to go. Of the 42 people invited, only 6 did not attend the service.

I put the church info. on the invitation. About 1/2 the people (immediate family and very close friends) came...everyone else showed up after to the party.
