Christening question
Does anyone know if a private Christening costs more than a regular Christening (donation, I know ).
Would you know the approx cost? My brother lives in San Diego and they are having a baby as well so there are only a few dates they will all be able to come to NY so I may have to do a private one.

Re: Christening question
The church I belong to (St. Ignatius, Long Beach) hasnt charged us a fee. Maybe they just havent told us yet? but we have already made all the arrangements and I have gone to the baptism class. Logan is having a private christening. They just gave us the envelopes to hand in at Sunday mass.

Re: Christening question
It may have to do more with availability of the church and a presider. We had a private ceremony for the twins, but that was because I'm active in my church.

Re: Christening question
my church used to do private ones but now the only way you can have a private one is if you do it during a mass. So I just did it with the restof the people and it went pretty quick
